PROPOSAL WRITING FOR TECHNICAL STAFF

"We need to write a compliant, compelling, proposal that will address the customer's dreams, missions and operations plan, in their words. There are no second chances."

When the technical staff is asked to work on a proposal they generally know they can develop a technical solution, but usually have great concerns about presenting the solution in a compliant, concise form that will result in a winning proposal. Over the years we have heard countless stories of instances where the best technical solution did not win. This course will explain what the Government is looking for and offer techniques and tips for writing clearly about management, best value, technical solutions and related topics. Exercises will provide participants with hands-on experience in writing response sections.

Summary:

This workshop is designed for technical personnel, operations staff and engineers who are assigned to write all or portions of a proposal technical volume and help prepare other sections of the response. The workshop provides attendees the skills necessary to respond convincingly to an RFP or task order requirement. The focus is on understanding what Government evaluators want to see, structuring the response so that they find it easily, and find what they read to be both compliant and compelling. The workshop emphasizes how to organize ideas and how to write clear, concise responses.

Objective:

At the conclusion of the workshop participants will understand the techniques for writing clear, concise responses to RFP's and task orders that effectively present technical solutions. Participants will understand how to express their solutions clearly, and to structure them to make it easy for evaluators to find what they need to select your firm to do the work.
