Government Contract Databases

Raw data on many existing federal prime contracts over $25,000 is available directly from the government. A number of companies clean up the raw data, add complementary information from additional sources and package the resulting databases. The breadth and depth of the additional research varies widely. While some databases concentrate only on information technology contracts, others cover a wide range of industries and Standard Industrial Codes (SICs). Additionally, some products identify only federal government contracts while others include state and local governments as well. There is no best product for all cases. In this category especially, you get what you pay for!

identify where work of a specific type is done

size of contracts being investigated
